TUCSON, Ariz. — Tim Fuller became the fourth different winner in as many events during the NDRL-sanctioned Winter Extreme dirt late model series at Tucson Int’l Raceway.
Fuller inherited the lead when leader R.C. Whitwell had mechanical trouble on lap 22. Fuller paced the final eight circuits of the three-eighths-mile dirt track.
“We didn’t have the best car,” said Fuller. “The five was the best car and I couldn’t stay with him.”
Ryan Gustin challenged Fuller over the closing laps, but could not make a pass for the lead.
Billy Moyer finished third with Jimmy Mars and Shane Clanton rounding out the top five.
