Franklin Flies At Wytheville

WYTHEVILLE, Va. — Dennis Franklin won Saturday night’s Carolina Clash late model race at Wythe Raceway Saturday night.

Franklin took the lead late in the action and pulled away for his 29th career victory with the series.

“This win is for my grandmother who suffered a stroke today. We were not even going to come up here tonight, but I want to thank Steve Cooke for flying me up here and all my crew for getting this car ready for tonight. This race means a lot to me personally and I was driving for her tonight,” said Franklin.

Tim Allen finished second, ahead of Johnny Pursley, Ricky Weeks and Mike Gault.
