COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa — Dave Eckrich picked up his first Hoker Truck Series late model triumph Thursday night at C.J. Speedway.
Eckrich passed Chad Holladay on lap 24 and rolled on to victory in the first race for the series in nearly two months. He earned $3,000 for the victory.
The event was run on a new four-tenths-mile layout at the track that was formerly a half-mile around.
Chris Simpson came on strong to finish second, with Holladay, Charlie McKenna and Andy Eckrich rounding out the top five.
