COLUMBUS, Miss. — The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series kicked off the Cotton Pickin’ on Friday night at Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway, where 45 super late model entries took to the state-of-the-art oval.
California’s Ethan Dotson set fast time overall in Mark Martin Automotive Qualifying before winning his heat race to earn the pole position for Saturday’s $20,000-to-win finale.
Meanwhile, after setting fast time in his respective Mark Martin Automotive Qualifying session, Georgia’s Cody Overton won his heat race to earn the outside-front-row starting spot for Saturday’s 60-lap feature.
Overton and Ashton Winger also claimed heat race wins to lock into second-row starting spots on Saturday night.
