Bobby Pierce Banks $20,000 At Farmer City

FARMER CITY, Ill. — Bobby Pierce hit the jackpot Friday night at Farmer City Raceway.

Driving a backup car after crashing the previous night, Pierce started third and grabbed the lead from Shannon Babb on lap 30 of the Farmer City 74 and led the remainder of the distance to bank $20,000 on the quarter-mile dirt track.

The 20-year-old beat Shannon Babb to the checkered flag in the event that was sanctioned by the Sunoco America Late Model Series.

Mike Marlar finished third with Chase Junghans and Frank Heckenast Jr. rounding out the top five.
