Dirt Kings Late Models Set For 12 Races

FREEDOM, Wis. – The fourth season of the DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Late Model Tour will feature 12 events at nine different dirt tracks across the state of Wisconsin.

Include on the schedule are companion events with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Outagamie Speedway, Plymouth Dirt Track and Beaver Dam Raceway this summer.

Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., will host the first race of the season, the Rumble by the River 40 on May 22. SK Speedway in Unity, Wis., will host the Salute to Service 30 on May 29 followed by Outagamie Speedway in Seymour, Wis., on June 5.

On Tuesday, June 16 the tour visits 141 Speedway in Maribel, Wis., for the Clash at the Creek. The Northwoods Showdown at TNT Speedway on June 27 is next on the schedule and will pay $2,500 to the winner.

An Independence Day doubleheader starts in Eagle Valley Speedway in Jim Falls, Wis., on July 2 and continues on July 3 at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis.  The Eagle Valley event will pay the winner $3,000 and the Mississippi Thunder race will pay $4,000 to the winner.

The DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings drivers will compete with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series three times during the summer months. Outagamie Speedway in Seymour, Wis., will host both tours on July 10, Plymouth (Wis.) Dirt Track is next on July 11 and Beaver Dam (Wis.) Raceway will close out the trio of races on Aug. 4.

The crown jewel of the Dirt Kings Tour, the Diamond 42, moves to Plymouth Dirt Track this year on Aug. 14. The 42-lap race pays $4,200 to win and $420 to start.

The Dirt Kings Tour returns to Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis., for the Summer Sizzler on Sunday, Aug. 16, followed by another race at Plymouth Dirt Track on Aug. 23.

The third annual Jim “W1ldman” Watson Classic will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway, with 141 Speedway in Maribel, Wis., hosting the season finale on Sept. 26.
