“This is a little different from what we have done for the past 15 years, but today with the coronavirus pandemic, we’re living in different times,” Stewart said. “We appreciate it that Cochran Motor Speedway owners Chris and Joni Martin are working with us to open the 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series season, and we want to help them follow the COVID 19 protocols put in place by State and Local Government officials.” With the fluidity of the situation and everchanging guidelines, everyone is encouraged to stay tuned to the social media accounts and official websites leading up to the Memorial Day Weekend events.

Gates will open on both Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. (EST) with the diver’s meeting at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. Further details regarding special entry times, and driver’s meeting procedures are still being worked out and will be released this week leading up to the events.
