BURNSIDE, Ky. – Michael Chilton held off Josh Rice in the final laps to win Saturday’s Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series Harold Hardgrove Memorial at Lake Cumberland Speedway.
Chilton took the lead on lap 38 from Tanner English, but had to survive multiple late-race challenges from Rice before taking the checkered flag. The victory was worth $10,022 for Chilton. Rice actually managed to slide in front of Chilton at one point, but Chilton was able to cross over and get the lead back.
Devin Gilpin finished third, followed by Dustin Linville and English.
