WHEATLAND, Mo. – Last season the Lucas Oil MLRA welcomed Casey’s General Stores to the fold in a brand new marketing partnership.
With the success of the initial year, Casey’s recently signed a three year agreement to continue presenting the Casey’s General Stores Hard Charger Award. Last year three-time series champion John Anderson earned the season long award.
“Man, we had a pretty tough season, but we really moved forward in several features, so it was nice to be recognized for it,” said Anderson. “I really appreciate Casey’s supporting the award, and it’s great to hear they’ll be backing it going forward.”
Anderson was awarded $500 at season’s end. This season and beyond, the overall Hard Charger will see a $250 increase to $750.
Casey’s General Stores currently operates 1772 stores throughout the mid-west. They are staunch supporters of dirt racing in several different capacities.
“It’s great to bring new partners on board and show them the value of partnering with us,” said Series Director Dan Robinson. “Our fans and drivers cross paths with Casey’s stores all over the region, so it makes this a natural fit.”
