SALINA, Kan. — Bobby Bills took the lead from his outside front row starting position and never looked back in claiming the National Championship Racing Ass’n of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products mod-lite feature Friday night in the first night of the “1-135 Challenge” at Salina Speedway.
Nick Watts started on the pole for the 25-lap feature but it was Bills who took the lead as the green flag fell. Bills throttled out to a comfortable lead while behind him, fourth starting Tyler Bradshaw and current tour point leader Justin Kinderknecht battled for the runner up position.
This battle for position lasted all race long with both drivers racing side by side, allowing Bills to pull away with a sizeable advantage.
The feature finale would go caution free and saw Bills go on to take the $500 feature victory. Bradshaw settled for second with Kinderknecht coming home third. Watts fell back to fourth while ninth starting Brandon Gray rounded out the top five.
