BOONE, Iowa – Sixteen hours is all it took to fill the 64-team field for the Scorezit Cornhole Tournament on Sunday before the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.
Electronic registration began at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday and the final two-person team completed the entry process just after 7 a.m. Thursday. The 65th team will be the first alternate.
The second annual double elimination tournament begins at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6 near the east catwalk at Boone Speedway.
Payouts for the top six teams include $728 for first, $546 for second, $364 for third, $182 for fourth, $60 for fifth and $40 for sixth. Each of the top four teams also receives a Scorezit scorekeeper.
Scorezit is a division of Wehrs Machine and Racing Products and The Ultimate Scorekeeper for backyard games, returns as title sponsor of the tournament and will be available for purchase at the Wehrs booth on Manufacturers’ Row.
Official tournament manager will be Brett Greer with BBB Cornhole.
The IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will be broadcast live via SPEED SPORT TV affiliate IMCA.TV.
