CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – Talladega Short Track officials have chosen NeSmith Racing to officiate the 25th Annual Ice Bowl at the Eastaboga, Ala. one-third mile clay oval on Jan. 7-10.
The 25th annual Ice Bowl will feature six different racing divisions in action during the four-day event.
Three Late Model racing divisions will be included with the Super Late Models in a $6,000-to-win main event, a $3,000-to-win main event for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series (Crate Engines), and the Sportsmen (Limited Late Models) paying $2,500-to-win in their main event.
Also competing will be the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division paying $2,500-to-win in their main event, the Thundercars (Bombers) with a $1,200-to-win main event, and the Hot Shots paying a $500-to-win main event.
“Every time NeSmith Racing has been to Talladega Short Track, they have done a great job at running their part of the show and with the Ice Bowl being a big event, we couldn’t think of any group better to help us put this show on,” Talladega Short Track Owner/Promoter Lynn Phillips said. “I know we need good race direction, technical inspections and public relations support for an event of this size, and NeSmith Racing is the best there is in these areas of motorsports.”
The 25th Annual Ice Bowl on track activities will begin on Jan. 7 with a practice day. The gates open at 9 a.m., with practice for all divisions from 12-5 p.m. Competitors may also take care of the event registration on the practice day. The Registration Form for the 2015 Ice Bowl will be available on the TST web site in the coming days.
