CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has released its national touring schedule, which features 16 events at nine tracks in five states.
The season begins Feb. 24-26 when the series visits East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Fla. The Feb. 24-25 events will be 40 laps each and pay $2,000 to the winner, with the Feb. 26 event offering $3,000 to the winner of a 50-lap event.
Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn., will host three $2,500-to-win 50-lap events during the season, with the first being March 30. The series will return to the four-tenths-mile clay oval May 14 and July 30. Greenville (Miss.) Speedway will host the series April 8-9 and again Oct. 7-8.
The series will return to South Georgia this year with the inaugural visit to Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah, Ga., June 3. The series follows that up with a visit to Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Ga., June 4.
Penton (Ala.) Raceway and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Ala., will team up for the July 4 weekend to host a pair of $2,500-to-win 50-lap events. The series will visit Penton July 2 and East Alabama July 3.
Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss., will present the sixth annual Labor Day Bash, which will feature two $5,000-to-win events Sept. 2-3. Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., will complete the Labor Day weekend with a 40-lap show Sept. 4.
The season concludes with a return to East Bay Raceway Park Dec. 1-3, with the season finale offering $10,000 to the winner. Additional events may be added to the schedule.
