NCRA Suspends Three

PARK CITY, Kan. — NASCAR penalties have nothing on those issued by the National Championship Racing Ass’n.

Driver Tanner Mullens was suspended for two years by NCRA for an incident that occurred during the Modified Spring Scramble at 81 Speedway April 6. Mullens was involved with an accident and resultant fight with fellow driver Darren Moses.

Moses has been suspended indefinitely with “no time line on how long he will be suspended,” as he was involved in a similar incident at Enid Speedway late last season.

Buddy Mullens, crew member for Tanner Mullens, was suspended a year for hitting an official.

“The NCRA and Speedway’s Inc. will not tolerate such behavior at any of our events,” said NCRA Preside C. Ray Hall. “We understand that tempers will flare yet we have to have some common sense because things can get out of hand and somebody seriously hurt. Hopefully this will detour any other drivers or crew member doing anything like that in the future.”
