BATAVIA, Ohio — Due to the likelihood of rain and thunderstorms this weekend, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events at Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway and Florence (Ky.) Speedway have been postponed.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will return to Tazewell Speedway on Friday, June 28 for the Toyota Knoxville/Secret City Dodge Jeep/Ted Russell Ford 50. The 33rd annual Ralph Latham Memorial at Florence Speedway will follow on Saturday, June 29.
Both events will remain a complete program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap, $12,000-to-win main event.
“We have a lot of competitors and fans who travel and enormous amount of highway miles to attend our events,” said series director Rick Schwallie. “We don’t want anyone to have the burden of making a long trip for nothing. This gives everyone involved enough notice to change plans and get ready for the rescheduled dates.”
Fans who currently have tickets for either event may use them for the rescheduled events on Friday, June 28 at Tazewell Speedway and Saturday, June 29 at Florence Speedway. No refunds will be given.
