James Is Two-For-Three In Hell Tour


HIGHLAND, Ill. — Scott James is making the most of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour, surging to his second consecutive win worth $5,000 Wednesday night at Highland Speedway.

The driver from Lawrenceburg, Ind., drove the Scott Riggs owned No. 81 to the win over Mark Burgtorf, who challenged late in the 40-lap main event.

The win will extend James’ point lead over third finishing Shannon Babb, who challenged James early on. James also won a heat race after starting on the pole courtesy of a quick time effort in group five of time trials.

Tim Lance finished the night in the fourth spot after a heat race win earlier in the night while overall fast timer and third heat race winner Doug Drown rounded out the top five.
