ROSSBURG, Ohio — Drivers from three states won 20-lap modified features as the DIRTcar Fall Nationals kicked off Friday night at Eldora Speedway.
With 107 modifieds on hand, Michigan’s Brian Ruhlman copped the opening feature on the historic half-mile oval, beating Kenny Wallace to the checkered flag with Trent Young, Ray Bollinger and Billy Workman Jr. rounding out the top five.
North Carolina traveler Nick Hoffman raced from sixth on the grid to win the second feature, beating polesitter Evan Taylor to the checkered flag. Collin Thirlby, Derrick Ramey and Tyler Nicely filled the top five.
Perennial DIRTcar modified national championship contender Mike Harrison of Illinois, outran Jacob Hawkins to win the third feature, while Taylor Cook, Michael Long and Jeff Koz completed the top five.
The nightcap saw Michigan racer Chad Bauer score a second victory for the Wolverine state as he outran K.C. Burdette, David Mielke, Dean Hoffman and David Stremme.
