SELINSGROVE, Pa. — With weather models showing heavy rain and thunderstorms on Wednesday evening and more expected into Thursday afternoon, Super DIRTcar Series and Selinsgrove Speedway officials have decided to cancel the Sand Hill 75.
The event will not be rescheduled as there is no viable makeup date this year. However, the Super DIRTcar Series plans to return to Selinsgrove in 2025.
The series now turns its attention to the Don Davies New York Modifieds 76 on June 25, at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.
Anthony Perrego leads the Super DIRTcar Series stars into the Malta, N.Y. oval with an eight-point lead over Peter Britten, who leads DIRTcar Big Block Modified standings at Albany-Saratoga.
They’ll have to contend with 10-time defending series champion Matt Sheppard, 2019 champion Mat Williamson and a stout field of regional competitors who race full-time with the series like Jack Lehner, Mike Mahaney and C.G. Morey.
