Super DIRT Week 52 Boosts Purse For Each Division

OSWEGO, N.Y. — More than $30,000 has been added to the overall purse for Super DIRT Week 52, making over $300,000 available among the four main features at Oswego Speedway.

The money has been spread across feature purses for the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds, DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman and DIRTcar Pro Stocks, beefing up areas top to bottom, so those who win or fall short leave with a healthy check.

“Hundreds of drivers support Super DIRT Week every year and there are only four winners each time, so whether they’re lucky enough to find Victory Lane or left fixing something at the trailer, we want to make sure they’re supported with a strong payout,” said Jeff Hachmann, Super DIRT Week executive director of events.

The Billy Whittaker Cars 200 on Saturday, Oct. 12 will now pay a record $52,000 to win, and positions fifth through 41st have also been increased. That sets the last-place prize for the 200-lap race at $1,750.

DIRTcar Sportsman and DIRTcar Pro Stocks will see increases throughout the entire field for their features. The DIRTcar Sportsman Chevrolet Performance 75 now pays $5,000 to win and $500 to start. The DIRTcar Pro Stock 50 will award a $3,000 check to the winner and pay $300 to start.

Nearly $7,000 was added to the purse for the DIRTcar 358 Modified Salute to the Troops 150, beefing up the pay for positions 11th through 40th and will now pay $750 to start. The winner will get $20,000.

Even those that don’t qualify for the features will leave with more money than last year. Super DIRTcar Series non-qualifiers will get $250, DIRTcar 358 Modified non-qualifiers will get $150 and DIRTcar Sportsman and DIRTcar Pro Stock non-qualifiers will leave with $100.
