WEEDSPORT, N.Y. — This year’s Cavalcade Cup 100 at Weedsport Speedway will be bigger than ever with more money on the line for the Super DIRTcar Series.
Thanks to track owner Al Heinke, $20,000 has been added to the purse– now over $56,000 – of the Saturday, Sept. 7, Super DIRTcar Series event, making it $15,000-to-win/$1,000 to start.
Along with the added purse, drivers will battle for a guaranteed starting spot in the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 at Super DIRT Week 52 – awarded to the winner of the race or next driver in the finish order not locked in yet.
Then, many of the series stars will return to Weedsport on Sunday, Sept. 8, for night two of the Cavalcade Cup weekend. The DIRTcar Big Block Modified feature will pay $5,000-to-win/$400-to-start.
Drivers who compete in both events will be eligible for a bonus. The drivers with the top-five best combined finishes over both nights will receive extra money.
The Cavalcade Cup 100 will finish a tripleheader weekend for the Super DIRTcar Series after stopping at Brockville Ontario Speedway on Thursday, Sept. 5, and Can-Am Speedway on Friday, Sept. 6.
