Hoffman Makes It A Streak At Brownstown

BROWNSTOWN, Ind. — Nick Hoffman topped Tyler Nicely for the second night in a row Thursday at Brownstown Speedway.

Hoffman’s second consecutive Summit Modified Nationals victory was worth $1,000.

Point leader Nicely started from the pole with Ryan Thomas on the outside pole and took the early lead. Hoffman moved from third and grabbed the lead from Nicely on lap three.

Mike McKinney, from the fifth starting position, would get around runner-up Nicely for second, nine laps into the feature. Following McKinney back to the front was Ryan Thomas as he would also power around Nicely for third and challenged McKinney for second. Nicely would bounce back and pass Thomas until a caution flew.

Hoffman wouldn’t be challenged on the restart as he would drive away to. Nicely finished second.

Ryan Thomas, Kenny Wallace and Devin Gilpin filled the top five in the 25-lap feature.
