SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. – The 2013 season at Penn Can Speedway has been anything but easy for the great race teams, officials, and fans as the weather has been a factor throughout the early season.
The much anticipated 2013 Pioneer Pole Building “Clash at the Can” sponsored by VP Fuels and Don’s Automotive Mall has also been plagued by the weather. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed one day to its Wednesday.
After being rained out last Friday, the rains returned Monday saturating the entire speedway. The promotional team of Al Wilcox, Brett Deyo, and Reed Miller decided the best course of action would be to get the word out early and make use of the previously announced rain date.
“Everyone has worked too hard on this big race and we wanted to have the best possible opportunity to put on a great show for both the competitors and fans,” explained Miller. “Brett has put an outstanding effort to make this show special and Al has worked hard to provide a great track for the race. Moving it back one day will give us a better shot at putting on a great show.”
