CONCORD, N.C. – DIRTcar Northeast has released a busy schedule of events for the DIRTcar 358 Modified, DIRTcar Sportsman Modified and DIRTcar Pro Stock divisions.
Highlights on the schedule include the 11th annual Northeast Fall Nationals at Brockville Ontario Speedway, where all three series will name their champions. After the success of the World Short Track Championships at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, both the Sportsman Modifieds and Pro Stocks will return to take on the Carolina clay in early November.
Oct. 8-13 will see all four DIRTcar Northeast series, including the Super DIRTcar Series big-block modifieds, competing across four race tracks during NAPA Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway.
In the 358 Modified Series, there will no longer be Northern or Southern regions. The unified series schedule will allow for large, competitive fields racing across the Northeast from May to October.
Utica-Rome Speedway launches the series on Sunday, May 12. DIRTcar sanctioned facilities Can-Am Speedway, Fulton Speedway, Cornwall Motor Speedway and Mohawk Int’l Raceway will also welcome the newly combined 358 Modified Series throughout the season.
Included on the schedule once again is NAPA Super DIRT Week, when Utica-Rome Speedway, Weedsport Speedway and Brewerton Speedway host a trio of back-to-back races Oct. 8-10. On Saturday, Oct. 12 at Oswego Speedway, the 358 Modified Series race for 150 laps around the historic five-eighths-mile speedway for a grand prize of $20,000.
Finally, the 358 Modified Series champion will be crowned at Brockville Ontario Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 19 as a part of the Northeast Fall Nationals weekend.
Three regions have been designated to compete during the regular season for the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds until the series combines during the Fall Championship.
In 2019, Land of Legends Raceway will kickoff the Fall Championship on Saturday, Sept. 28. Eight race tracks double up with two shows on the schedule. Once again, the Sportsman Modifieds will support the big-block modifieds on Sunday, Oct. 13 at NAPA Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway. The Sportsman Modifieds also co-headline the World Short Track Championship Oct. 31–Nov. 2 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.
Cornwall Motor Speedway will launch the DIRTcar Pro Stock championship hunt on Sunday, July 7, followed by Lebanon Valley Speedway on July 20. From there, Weedsport Speedway, Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway and Albany-Saratoga Speedway all host Pro Stock Series events.
The DIRTcar Pro Stocks are once again be a part of NAPA Super DIRT Week and the World Short Track Championship and The Dirt Track at Charlotte. The DIRTcar Pro Stock Championship will be decided at the Northeast Fall Nationals at Brockville Ontario Speedway.
