11 Dates For IMCA Dirt Knights Tour

FORT DODGE, Iowa – Eleven dates in three states are on the schedule for the 10th annual Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour for IMCA Modifieds.

The tour makes its first-ever appearance at Sports Park Raceway in Fort Dodge for opening night on Tuesday, May 21.

Up next are the Monday, May 27 Memorial Day show at Benton County Speedway in Vinton; Tuesday, June 4 at Marshalltown Speedway; Monday, July 22 at Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, S.D.; Tuesday, July 23 at Hancock County Speedway in Britt; Wednesday, July 24 at Buena Vista Raceway in Alta; Thursday, July 25 at Kossuth County Speedway in Algona; Monday, Aug. 5 at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer; Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Fairmont, Minn., Raceway; Saturday, Sept. 21 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington; and Saturday, Sept. 28 at Benton County.

The Fairmont date is the first-ever tour event held in Minnesota. The tour also makes its first visit to 34 Raceway.

Title sponsor Arnold Motor Supply provides a portion of the $10,000 tour point fund and also awards a Traeger Lil’ Tex Elite Pellet Grill to the champion. Wehrs Machine and Racing Products returns as presenting sponsor.

“We appreciate the continued support of both Arnold Motor Supply and Wehrs Machine for this tour,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “Last year’s tour produced both record car counts (an average of 44.8) and the ninth different champion in as many seasons. I anticipate this year’s tour to be equally as competitive.”

All tour events pay $1,500 to win, a minimum of $150 to start and are qualifying races for 2019 or 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballots.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and E3 Spark Plugs State points will be awarded each night.
