Co-grand marshals for the Turkey Night Midget Grand Prix in Ventura were champion USAC Midget Series car owner Steve Lewis, whose midgets won 133 features, and driver Chuck Gurney, a USAC super-modified, midget, sprint car and Silver Crown champion.
